"In a very few minutes he was in a dry bath of cold, clean linen, inexpressibly refreshing to him after so long disuse:"

The Cloister and the Hearth, by Charles Reade

There can be no substitute for this range of crisp white  linen sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers. The most luxurious bedding fabric of them all - soft and sensuous, cool and relaxing. Ideal for those hot, humid summer nights.

Hemstitched or two row cord hem options are available. The most basic kind of drawn thread work is hemstitching. It is often used to decorate the edge or trimmings of household linens. Two row cord is probably less decorative, but it does not weaken the fabric, and is probably more suitable for commercial uses.

The sheets offered here are two top sheets, so that they can be rotated. Over the years we have found this the best all round option. Top sheets tend to last longer, and it is best if they are rotated with the bottom sheet., so that the bottom sheet does not wear out first.

The molecular structure of the flax fibre makes linen an excellent conductor of heat; linen sheets are cool in hot clammy weather.

For and explantion of sizing see FAQ.

Sheets are boxed in pairs, i.e. price is for two. (white also in polybag of one only option)

If you require another option such as fitted bottom sheets. Please enquire.

'Let's go to that house, for the linen looks white and smells of lavender, and I long to be in a pair of sheets that smell so.......' -

Izak Walton, The Angler, 1653.
