Retirement of Billy Chambers
Thomas Fergusons' longest serving employee, Billy Chambers, will be retiring from the company, after more than 42 years' service, on 8 June.
Having become best known as the company's Senior Sales Executive, Billy has been responsible for the excellent management and development of key accounts in Ireland and London. He is held in the highest respect by his colleagues and customers alike.
Fortunately, Billy will be acting as a consultant to the company on a part time basis, and working with our associate company, Brownlow Linens. We wish him a long and happy retirement.

UK Online for Business/Interforum E-Commerce Awards
The shortlisted companies for the UK E-Commerce Awards 2001 were this morning announced. Fergusons is delighted to be one of ten Northern Ireland companies to have been nominated for the regional prize.
Each regional winner will go on to the grand final to be held in the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on Thursday 5 July. We hope to be there!
E-Business of the Month
Fergusons Irish Linen is delighted to have been voted Belfast Telegraph/British Telecom Northern Ireland E-Business of the Month for December 2000/January 2001.
Ray Mckeown, BTNI's Director of E Commerce acknowledged Fergusons as a very successful model of how industry can apply the Internet to its business model.
