  • 'Ultimate Ulster' TV Programme

    Frank Mitchell, and the Ultimate Ulster team;  one of Northern Irelands most popular TV shows. Were at Thomas Ferguson's on the 25th March filming for a new show which goes out in September, 2009.

    Irish linen has been voted as one of the top local exports by viewers, and voters will have the opportunity, when the show goes out, to see how high up that list Irish linen is.

    We at Ferguson's obviously see it as Number 1, because of the enormous influence it has had on the local economy for the past few hundred years, and up to the present.For more on the history and contribution of Irish linen to the local economy  click here.

  • Thomas Ferguson supplies gift for G20 summit leaders.

    The whole worlds talking about the G20 summit in London, on the 2nd April 2009.

    Heads of government and/or heads of state from the G-20 countries plus Spain and the Netherlands are expected to attend.

    The gift bag to be handed out to delegates at the summit will include a Crystal Glass Cloth designed and woven by Thomas Fergusons Irish Linen.

  • Bill Lyttle retires after nearly 50 years with Thomas Ferguson

    Bill Lyttle retires on the 9th October, 2008 from Thomas Ferguson's weaving department after almost 50 years with the company. Bill joined the company, straight from school, as a post boy in January, 1959. 

    Everyone at Ferguson's wish him and his family a long and happy retirement.
