This traycloth designed and woven by Thomas Ferguson, is a celebration of the Tara Brooch. An ancient Irish masterpiece of Celtic artwork.
The Tara Brooch is named after the Hill of Tara, and was reputedly found in 1850 by an Irish peasant on the beach at Bettystown, Co. Meath.
It is a Celtic brooch dating from around the 700AD, and is composed of silver-gilt with intricate artwork on both the front and back.
This traycloth is supplied in Thomas Fergusons standard white.
